My exciting journey into the world of hydrogen
Jeremy Rifkin convinced me back in 2002 with his book "The Hydrogen Economy" that hydrogen would be the ideal energy source for us. Even then, much of what he said seemed logical, and today it has become reality. I believe the future of energy is clean, efficient, and driven by innovation. For over two decades, I’ve been at the forefront of hydrogen, scaling businesses, launching industry-defining projects, and shaping policies that accelerate the transition to sustainable solutions.
I co-founded HyCologne as a spin-off from a technology centre a good 20 years ago to drive innovation and collaboration in the field of hydrogen and thus promote a sustainable energy ecosystem.
With over 50 members and partners, HyCologne aims to implement hydrogen projects that make a relevant, efficient and sustainable contribution to climate protection and economic strength in the
Cologne region. Our strengths at HyCologne are our diversity, our experience, our excellent contacts and our good communication!
As managing director of the German GmbH for an international industrial start-up for over 10 years, I was responsible for the growth and strategic direction, expansion of business activities,
strengthening of market presence and promotion of innovations in the field of electrolysis.
My activities over the last two decades have turned me into a hydrogen enthusiast and expert, with a network spanning several levels of business, administration and associations. My motto is the motto of HyCologne:
Network – Develop – Make!
